Stairs, railings & platforms
Stairs, railings, and platforms get used every day, so they need to meet the building code's rules for rise, run, guard height, opening sizes, and handrail grip — and they need to feel solid underfoot. Steel lets us build them stronger and slimmer than wood, and it holds up outdoors when it's properly finished.
We build from architectural or engineered drawings, or we develop the layout from your field conditions and get it reviewed. Typical work includes exterior egress stairs for multifamily and commercial buildings, industrial stairs and catwalks, mezzanine platforms, and guardrail and handrail systems.

FAQ
Do your railings meet code?
We build guards and handrails to the heights, opening limits, and loads required by the code your project is permitted under, and to the details on your drawings.
What tread options are available?
Common options are concrete-filled steel pans, bar grating, checker plate, and plate treads. The right choice depends on use, location, and the look you want.
Can you replace a rusted exterior stair?
Yes. We assess what can be repaired versus replaced, then rebuild or replace stringers, treads, landings, and rails as needed.
Do I need engineering for a mezzanine?
Generally yes. Mezzanines and elevated platforms carry significant loads and usually require engineered drawings and a permit.
What finishes do you recommend outdoors?
Galvanizing or a quality primer-and-paint system is recommended for exterior steel in North Texas weather.
